Why Use A Card Rider?
The Federal Trade Commission recently published an article titled, "Card Riders," which focused on the new laws that the FTC has implemented to protect consumers from deceptive credit card offers. There is much that is being done by the FTC, including a series of hearings and announcements designed to educate the public about the idn poker importance of protecting themselves from predatory and unfair practices by financial institutions. These efforts should be applauded, but there is another way for consumers to protect their privacy and financial information - by avoiding all unsecured card offers altogether.
Card issuers use all sorts of tactics to get people to sign up for their credit card offers, many of which are completely illegal. Some of these tactics include creating credit accounts under fake names, charging fees for services that do not exist, or misrepresenting the value of the card. One common card issuer practice is referred to as the "fee-for-service" model. This means that a consumer will sign up with a card issuer only if they will agen idn poker agree to a monthly credit card bill, or even a partial one, that has a fee attached.
