If I back myself into a corner, is there a quick & painless way to erase everything so I can restart the current game? I don't care about the timer, I just want to skip the part where I take the eraser to each individual cell.

Where is this context menu & how do I access it?

It depends on your device, but usually it is accessible by long-pressing the "Recent Tasks" button found next to the "Home" button. We are working on a better way of accessing it, so please bear with us.

If I press the recent tasks button, I get recent tasks, not a context menu.

Right, you need to long-press it. Have you tried that? (While in game?)
