Premium doesn't know about the games you played in Free version (something we are working to address, together with keeping the settings between the two versions). Also, the puzzles should not repeat, although that cannot be guaranteed.

Does it pull from a pool of known puzzles, or randomly generate them? If it can randomly generate them, generating identical puzzles should practically never happen, as long as you choose a random seed intelligently. If it's a pool, how many Extreme puzzles are in it?

From what I understand it used to be from a pool, but we are switching over to a generator or may have already switched, depending on platform.

New to sudoku and am progressing through medium level puzzles. Can anyone tell me approx. how many different puzzles of each difficulty level are generated?

Somewhat related to this, I'd really like the ability to input custom puzzles. This way I could use the app to solve not only the stock puzzles, but any other puzzle I come across.

I am still playing Basic. I was looking at the reasons to upgrade to Premium, but the reasons given did not appear to be anything more than what I have with Basic. Is the difference a larger selection of puzzles to solve?

The premium is ad-free. That's the only difference.

The repetition drives me bonkers now!
I play on hard level - & I'm super-familiar with most of the puzzles. I do play a lot, but genina could really do with expanding the small number of games available.
It's not long into a puzzle I'm always muttering to myself "oh, it's this one.. the trick to this one is... "
I think it would be generous to state that there are 30 puzzles available on hard level.

Is there an algorithm categorizing the puzzles depending on average times to solve. Some of the extremes are easier than hard. And the hards keep getting tougher.
Would really love one more category - wicked or diabolical. Ones that'll drain the minds and batteries of avg joes like us

Yes, there is DEFINITELY a finite number of puzzles. The repetition of puzzles in the extreme category is the reason I've almost entirely quit the extreme category (except for competitions) this year. I had assumed this was ANOTHER problem (the other being hijacking ads and popups) that would be solved by paying for premium, but if that's the case, I'd rather just buy books and solve by hand. Unfortunate for genina
Reading through the forum, these seem to be problems common to many users. It would behoove the developers to give serious thought in addressing these issues. I'm sure I'm not the only one using this app less and less because of these problems.

I suppose I'm being a bit pedantic, but... of course the number of puzzles is finite. (It really bugs me when people misuse words like "infinite.") While the number of valid puzzles may be considered large, i.e. billions of trillions, it is certainly not infinite!
